**About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to provide statewide strategic direction and leadership in relation to workforce development for Queensland Forensic Mental Health Services (QFMHS). This includes strategy development and implementation focusing on both the ongoing professional development, education and training needs of existing staff; and the development of future workforce and opportunities to promote recruitment of new staff.

About you

Lead the implementation of the strategy activities and regular reporting to the Director, Operations and strategy and Director.
Establish and maintain records of staff training with regular review and evaluation to inform workforce and training future needs.
Lead the service strategy for recruitment and retention of staff including strategies to address skill development and attraction e.g. student placements and university partnerships, staff rotation programs, and leveraging stakeholder partnerships.
Use advanced level communication skills to engage a range of stakeholders across multiple levels of seniority.
