Collections Officer

As the Collection A/R Analyst, you are responsible for the investigation, analysis, and resolution of collection problems, the collection of past due accounts and preparation of collection reports.
A Collection A/R Analyst is responsible for the investigation, analysis, and resolution of collection problems, the collection of past due accounts and preparation of collection reports. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues and secure payment on invoices
- Maintain and produce Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for customer account reconciliation
- Act as a liaison between the Sales Reps and the customer in resolving payment issues
- Resolve issues regarding short payments, over payments, unapplied payments, write-offs, purchase orders, credit terms, and contracts
- Prepare delinquent accounts for legal action
- Notify appropriate department of billing inaccuracies
- Promptly respond to all account receivable inquires
- Process write-offs
- Balance month end cash and A/R
- Perform other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- 1-5 years Collection experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent organization/time management, planning and prioritization skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
- Ability to develop a strong relationship with internal/external customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly motivated, energetic and committed to getting results
- Proven ability to use strategy to take a collection problem from start to finish.
- Experience with NetSuite, Microsoft Office and Blackline
- Basic accounting background and math aptitude.
