**Job Description**:
This is an exciting newly created, senior role to develop and lead the development and execution of the procurement strategy for Squadron Energy and all its projects. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective procurement framework with best-practice standards, systems and processes to ensure the company optimises its procurement outcomes in response to the current and anticipated strategic and operational requirements of the organisation and its assets.

Squadron owns, constructs and operates complex and large-scale capital Infrastructure In renewable energy, green hydrogen gas and storage. We are a purpose driven company and our approach to our partnerships and contracts will need to exemplify this and our organisational values.

Key responsibilities include:

- Design and build a best practice strategic procurement organisation, with specific focus on uplifting the organisations procurement and supply management capability
- Set the overall direction for the category and supplier management at Squadron Energy, from procurement strategy definition to supplier sourcing and selection through to supplier management and providing advice, guidance and support to the wider business
- Anticipating and mitigating supply chain risk, securing continuity of supply across your extended supply chain, particularly in regard to capital projects procurement
- Developing agile and effective supply chain capability, ensuring value for money and best in class service
- Manage the organisation’s management of its external spend, through efficient commissioning, procurement and contract management
- Deliver a robust long-term procurement program that will add both value and efficiency to the organisation whilst enhancing strategic initiatives as and when required
- Leading key commercial negotiations and ensuring true partnership is achieved with our suppliers
- Providing a high level of stakeholder engagement with internal customers, and demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills with external parties

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or Commerce and ideally CIPS qualifications
- An in-depth level of experience in capital projects procurement from heavy industry such as mining, utilities, construction or similar, and a broad exposure to ICT and services procurement
- Global supplier experience desirable
- Extensive procurement leadership experience at a tactical and strategic level
- You will be an outcome focused professional, passionate about delivering a high quality of service to the wider business and excellence in contemporary procurement and supply chain practices
