We are partnering with a Global Client to source their next Indirect Procurement Specialist
This is a rare opportunity to work in a team that operates around the world, but to be based at Macquarie Park head office, with a working week that runs 3 days in the office & 2 from home
The purpose of this role is to lead the Australasia Indirect Procurement function.
This shall involve representing multiple functions and sites within ANZ and close working relationships with other members of APAC. The role requires interaction with site, functional personnel and regional sourcing teams.
This role will have an annual spend of up to $50m
The key responsibilities of this position may include:
· Procurement of goods and services required by the Business on time, cost efficiency and meeting client's needs. Such purchases will be for multiple categories.
· Managing the purchasing process including competitive tendering, negotiating contracts, implementation, as well as long term KPIs for key suppliers
· To provide local market knowledge / intelligence / expertise for components within the portfolio to team, stakeholders and other country, regional and global category managers.
· Participate as an active member in ANZ/APAC/Global sourcing team initiatives
· All other tasks as and when assigned by Head of Indirect Procurement, APAC or Territory Finance Leader, Australasia.
· Partner with Global/APAC Category Leads and Head of Indirect Procurement, APAC on all sourcing events (as per agreed spend threshold) to maximise returns from the P2P process and minimise the sourcing cycle time.
· Maintain strong, unbiased and ethical relationship with suppliers, including establishing supplier performance measures, conducting regular reviews focused on achieving "service performance and deal delivery".
· Deliver performance targets/KRA
· Provide local market intelligence for assigned portfolio including documented sourcing analyses, supply scenario comparisons and supplier research.
· Drive compliance for all procurement and corporate related polices and processes
· Build a strong procurement stakeholder network within the organisation by educating and communicating on the procurement policy and processes including the effective use of purchasing tools, techniques
· Analyse spend patterns across all Indirect Procurement spend categories and provide constructive sourcing suggestions to stakeholders on their spending decisions
· Prepare sourcing & negotiation strategies to accompany any sourcing decisions for goods and services (as per threshold)
· Provide regular management reports highlighting achievements and issues/constraints
· Support Head of Finance in implementation and delivering working capital solutions with strategic suppliers.
· Perform sourcing / spend analysis to identify cost mitigation opportunities and timely reporting to management.
To be successful in this position you will have:
· Good knowledge of financial measurements, how to build a business case including ROI
· Excellent knowledge of supply markets and dependant cost drivers.
· Good knowledge of purchasing policies and procedure
· Strong background in use of systems (SAP preferred), and reporting analytical tools
· Experience of working in an indirect procurement environment
· Strong organisation, implementation and influencing skills.
· Proactive self starter who can work independently
· Strong negotiation and contract management skills
· Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in cross functional teams; organisation skills
· Strong ability to extract and analyse internal customer requirements
