Drafting Manager Opportunity | Major Builder | Leadership role in organisation with strong systems and process Your new company Our client is one of Melbourne's leading residential home builders, having had consistent growth and development over recent years. Without losing their customer first focus which is the cornerstone of their success, their portfolio of projects spans from detached homes to Medium Density work. Their continued growth has resulted in an exciting new opportunity opening up for a Drafting Manager who is looking to join a progressive and robust organisation Your new role As an experienced residential drafting professional your role will see you take total control of the Production Drafting function. Overseeing both a local and off-shore team of combined 7 staff, your duties will include but not be restricted to; - Workflow co-ordination - Ensuring work meeting required company standards and in line with building regs and codes - Staff development and daily management - Working with design and construction teams to ensure drawings and construction challenges are navigated appropriately What you'll need to succeed In order to be considered for this role it is expected that you will - A previous leadership role within a volume builder environment is desirable - Strong technical drafting skills, and knowledge of high-volume builder process - Excellent AutoCAD skills and proficiency - High attention to detail - Excellent working knowledge of Building Codes and Regulations - Workflow experience and ability to prioritise and delegate in order to meet deadlines - Strong communication skills both written and verbal What you'll get in return For your experience and expertise in this exciting role, not only will you receive a salary package that will be view favourably and in line with market expectations, but you will get the opportunity to align yourself with a volume builder that still runs with that "small team" culture but major builder professionalism What you need to do now If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career. **LHS 297508** #2754876
