Created by government for government, the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) works with owner governments and partner universities to strengthen the quality of public sector leadership in Australia and Aotearoa-New Zealand. The new Dean and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Adam Fennessy PSM, is charged to deliver continued excellence and growth for ANZSOG.

**About the role**
The new Principal Adviser and Company Secretary will provide strategic support to the CEO and the Board. Providing trusted advice and practical assistance across a broad remit, responsibilities include the formal Company Secretary function: strengthening governance processes, ensuring Board operations run seamlessly and that compliance is exemplary. Reporting to the CEO and with a diverse brief and fully flexible working arrangements, the role is highly collaborative. You will work across a range of imperatives to deliver on ANZSOG’s priorities.

**About you**
You are a versatile, proven executive, with a nuanced understanding of how government and/or higher education organisations operate and improve. Presenting with qualifications ideally in public administration, law or business and a deep experience of government, tertiary settings or similar, you are skilled in analysis and influence, and provide advice to key stakeholders with confidence and discretion. Practical, energetic and emotionally intelligent, you lead through others, enabling people to deliver optimal performance. You are excited by ANZSOG’s purpose: better government for better outcomes for people.
