With Head Office in Melbourne, iconic retail brands and multiple sites across Australia and New Zealand, Patties Foods is a significant, diversified and successful food manufacturer. A new opportunity has emerged for a key role within the South Australian site, locacted at Salisbury South. Employing around 130 staff and operating two shifts per day, the site produces more than 100,000 chilled ready meals every week.

Reporting directly to the Site Operations Manager and working closely with internal customers on shared goals, this important role is responsible for the management of all production activities to ensure relevant production, quality, safety and environmental standards are met, providing production of high quality, cost effective output and on time delivery of products. Other key responsibilities include:

- ensuring a steady flow of production activities, producing the right product, in the right quality, quantity and at the right time;
- ensuring optimal machine utilisation and operational efficiency;
- overseeing production planning and measuring performance verses plan;
- overseeing process and material flows including space management for specific production areas;
- motivating and developing a cohesive production team to meet all production KPIs;
- monitoring quality of incoming raw materials and finished product.

Applications are sought from both accomplished or aspiring professionals with transferable production supervision experience preferably from a manufacturing background or aligned food production environment relating to perishable foods. Proven capability and demonstrated results in operational excellence, together with an understanding of the rigour of quality systems, are considered essential. Also important will be flexibility, agility, adaptability and authentic leadership qualities with genuine relationship building capacity required to add value to this highly successful operation. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are desirable.
