Maintenance and Process Technician, Manufacturing

**The Role**

An opportunity exists for a Maintenance and Process Technician to join our production team, based at our Beverley site. This critical role is responsible for aiding the Production Manager, as well as performing periodic and preventative maintenance, assisting in process optimisation, and improvement of all manufacturing equipment. This role includes assisting the production staff with the manufacture of extruded and moulded products.

**Responsibilities**
- Conducting routine inspections inside and outside of premises on plant and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing machines effectively and efficiently, resolving machinery issues, building equipment and structures, and performing preventative maintenance and repair tasks
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary on plant and equipment
- Plan maintenance schedules and work programs
- Provide process management support to Production Manager, Supervisor and Technicians
- Support engineering and manufacturing staff during scoping, installations, connections, debugging and start up of new or upgraded plant and equipment

**Skills & Experience**
- At minimum a Certificate III - Mechanical Fitter/Toolmaker trade qualification or Industrial Electrician with sound mechanical skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on root cause analysis of Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment
- Factory maintenance experience with an aptitude in taking apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
- Ability to work flexibly whilst still meeting project end goals and meeting production requirements as some out of hours work will be need to complete plant or project installs
- Relevant production experience in a high paced manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound computer literacy, with the ability to adapt to technology and modern practices
- Must have or be willing to obtain a forklift license
