**_The role_**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team. Reporting to the Reliability Manager your role is responsible for providing high
- quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support. This role is expected to carry out all general engineering maintenance functions within the factory, including mechanical breakdown repair on production lines, freezers, pumps, motors
- as well as ensuring ongoing, robust preventative maintenance work within the facility on a shift work basis.

You will also be responsible for:

- Experience in installations, repairs and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably primary food processing industry
- Experience in fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and complex mechanical systems
- Experience in breakdown as well preventative maintenance
- Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance
- Routine maintenance functions for the manufacturing facility
- Machine fault finding to ensure challenging production targets are met and equipment optimisation
- Integral role in an ongoing preventative maintenance program
- Production maintenance, fabrication, repair and close out work orders and use of maintenance software and general computer skills
- Proven skills in the areas of attention to detail, information processing and problem solving with the ability to multitask

**Key Qualifications and Essential Criteria**:

- A satisfactory National Police Check (no older than 12 months) must be provided prior to commencement to Patties.
- Valid South Australian Driver’s License
- Minimum Certificate III in a mechanical trade qualification
- WorkSafe SA Licence to perform high risk work and working at height permit (Desirable)
- Class B electrical licence/dual classification electrical/mechanical (Desirable)
- TIG and Arc Welding Knowledge (Desirable)
- A solid background in FMCG
