Accounts Payable Officer required in Campbellfield

**Your new company**

An exciting time to join a well established global company at the forefront of its industry sector. Due to organic growth, this pivotal role will support the group in efficiently and reliably managing the recording and paying of invoices, employee expenses, corporate credit cards whilst supporting the wider finance team in reconciliation and forecasting of cashflows.

**Your new role**
- Ensure accurate, timely processing and payment of vendor invoices.
- Reconcile and match vendor payments to AP ledger.
- Uphold accurate coding of invoices to general ledger and cost centres.
- Match invoices to purchase orders.
- Workflow variances for approval in alignment with delegated authorities.
- Verify and process employee expense claims, ensuring appropriate supporting. documentation and management review.
- Schedule and prepare payment runs based upon standard company payment terms.
- Ensure maintenance and attachment of supporting records against systems transactions.
- Prepare aged creditors reconciliations and other ad hoc reports as applicable.
- Act as first point of contact for any credit controller queries.
- Support cashflow forecasting.
- Support month end accrual process.
- Identify, challenge and or escalate breaches in financial controls.
- Identify improvements to the accounts payable process.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles, including GST.
- Proven ability to calculate, accurately post and manage financial records.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with a focus on high quality customer service.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work in a largely autonomous role; yet work as part of a broader team.
- Intermediate software skills, including Microsoft Excel and strong ERP experience.
- Passion to demonstrate a drive for success.
