We are seeking 2 Talent Acquisition Officers to hit the ground running in fast paced role. This will suit someone in between HR/Recruitment contracts, a working holiday maker or someone seeking Government experience.
**Role Purpose**
Providing timely and accurate advice and support in the end to end recruitment and induction of all new employees. Working collaboratively with People and Culture colleagues to provide a seamless and proactive service to the organisation including advice across all aspects of People and Culture.
**The Role**
Recruitment
- Reviewing documentation initiating recruitment, ensuring the vacancy aligns with the organisational and establishment charts.
- Consulting with hiring managers to ensure position descriptions are accurate, current, relevant and comply with the company's templates.
- Composing advertisements and placing within appropriate media within agreed timeframes.
- Developing behavioural based interview questions in liaison with the hiring manager.
- Participating as a panel member in interviews, as required.
- Initiating and overseeing the pre-employment assessments.
- Preparing employment offer letters, contracts of employment and all other relevant new starter documentation.
- Ensuring recruiting managers are kept informed of progress on their recruitment campaigns.
- Providing training to recruiting managers in end-to-end recruitment and induction procedures and practices, and other People and Culture procedures as required.
- Critically analyse the end to end recruitment process to ensure it reflects best practice.
- Coordinate and continue to develop the company's employee onboarding program.
People and Culture Development
- Administer the engagement of temporary personnel (labour hire).
- Provide advice across all aspects of People and Culture including interpreting enterprise agreements and other legislation, conflict resolution and grievance management, identifying training and professional development needs, employee onboarding, induction and orientation.
- Preparing correspondence on a range of People and Culture related issues.
- Maintaining People and Culture records in accordance with legislative requirements.
**Experience Required**
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary issues and practices in general Human Resources Management, particularly recruitment and selection.
- Knowledge and understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity principles and legislation.
- Sound knowledge of appropriate awards, agreements, legislation, regulations and policies.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt the communication style to suit different audiences.
- Time management and organisational skills, with strong attention detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Experience in the profession of human resource management in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the recruitment and selection of employees within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Diploma in Human Resource Management, or similar.
