We protect endangered wildlife in iconic regions such as the Kimberley, Cape York, the Top End and Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre.

AWC's mission - to deliver effective conservation for all native animal species and their habitats - is achieved by:

- Operations - delivering effective large-scale land management including fire management, feral animal control, weed control and infrastructure management.
- Science - delivering the largest national biological survey program with a focus on measuring the population of indicator species and the extent of threatening processes as well as conducting research on key issues such as feral cat control.
- Fundraising - mobilising finance (primarily, tax deductible donations) from the general public and philanthropists including through effective communication of field updates from around the AWC estate.

**About the role**:
The Supporter Relations Officer reports directly to the Development Operations Manager, and will liaise closely with and assist other staff on the Development team, in particular:
Senior Supporter Relations Officer who will train the Supporter Relations Officer in the operation of their duties.
Database and Systems Officer.
A team of Development Executives, including the Chief Advancement Officer.

**Critical competencies**:
Demonstrated experience working with a CRM database in a fundraising or sales/marketing environment including capturing, processing and recording of constituent information. Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge is desireable.

Understanding, (or an ability to rapidly acquire an understanding), of basic fundraising principles and practices and the role data plays in driving strategy, campaigns and programs.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to:
Professionally answer telephone inquiries from AWC supporters and staff.

Establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

A strong work ethic and a demonstrated ‘can do’ attitude. A team player who is willing to jump in and help fellow team members whenever the need arises.

Excellent organisational skills including a demonstrated ability to prioritise and execute many tasks in an efficient manner.

Ability to act effectively as part of a team or independently as required.

**Licenses & qualifications**:
Police clearance certificate.

**PLEASE NOTE**: This is a part time 12 month fixed term contract at 0.8 FTE for maternity leave cover.
