**Salary: Band 7 - $102,953 - $114,927 pro rata + superannuation**

**Role includes an RDO**

**We are looking for a suitably qualified person to lead the traffic and transport function through the practice and promotion of a collaborative and customer-focused culture. The Team Leader Traffic and Transport will strategically manage, plan and design the transport network throughout Hobsons Bay.**

**What you’ll be working on**
- Leading the development and implementation of strategic plans and studies for improved transport and traffic outcomes within the municipality.
- Attending to the preparation, supervision and administration of various contracts including specification and tender document preparation.
- Provide support to the Coordinator Transport and Engineering Developments in the achievement of goals, projects and programs.
- Supervise staff and develop appropriate work programs to promote collaboration and accountability.

**What you need to succeed**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
- Eligible for registration under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019
- Additional qualifications in project management would be an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of transport engineering including the use of appropriate software packages, standards and guidelines.
- Substantial experience in traffic engineering and management and demonstrated knowledge of current traffic management trends.
