**Your new company**
You will be working for an Australian Defence company, who specialise in subsea operations and manufacturing, are looking to add a permanent HSEQ Coordinator to their team.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, your responsibilities are to manage the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Health & Safety and Environmental Management to:

- Demonstrate clear safety leadership throughout the organisation and provide coaching and mentoring in HSE matters.
- Identify and report hazards and risks relative to operations and assist in the development of strategies to control risk.
- Assist in the management of local certification to ISO 9001 and 45001.
- Monitor compliance to legal requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of local HSE internal improvement program.
- Proactively support, develop and maintain HSE procedures.
- Monitor HSE performance through audits, analysis of data, key performance indicators and establishing effective change controls.
- Conduct HSE internal audits, supplier audits and inspections.
- Conduct incident investigations and identify root causes and corrective, preventative actions.
- Identify and report HSE training requirements within the workforce
- Provide support in the development of HSE Governance documentation.
- Provide support to facilities management from an HSEQ perspective
- Act as Return to Work Coordinator for all East Coast sites in NSW

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications relating to Workplace Health and Safety
- Technical experience in marine, oil and gas or diving (preferable)
- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of HSE standards and practices.
- Proficient with ISO 45001:2018 desirable
- Basic understanding of ISO 9001:2015
- Experience with RTW programs
- Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
- Ability to conduct HSE investigations
- Facilitation of risk assessment experience
