HSEQ Officer

An established company who has been operating since 1996, are looking for a HSEQ Officer to join their collaborative team in Somerton.

**Your new role**

Located in Somerton, this is a full-time position for someone looking to work close to home and expand their HSEQ skills.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will assist with maintaining company and employee records, development and updating company documentation, including SWMS, Risk Assessments, etc that supports compliance to the company’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System.
- Updating and maintaining employee records in Visual Dispatch System
- Updating and maintaining plant/equipment records and documentation
- Development of SWMS for specific tasks
- Assisting in incident investigation and mitigation
- Review and update of Plant Risk Assessments
- Assist in IMS system review
- Monitor and maintain actions from audits, inspections, and toolbox meetings in the Donesafe platform
- Compile and assist the HSEQ Manager in monthly reporting of safety data and reports
- Assist the HSEQ Manager in monitoring and maintaining Client Registration safety platforms
- Liaising with internal and external clients
- Booking in medicals and training, including client inductions
- Answering phones

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Minimum 1 to 3 years in a Safety or HSEQ position
- Hold Certificate 3 or 4 in Work Health and Safety
- Experience in injury management and RTW Coordinator Course an advantage
- Punctual
- Can do attitude
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and jump between tasks
- Self-starter and able to work autonomously
- Able to work and communicate as part of a team
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Speed and accuracy of typing skills
