**Job Summary**:
Responsible for handling cases involving the Property and Onshore Construction Line(s) of Business to ensure delivery of excellent claims services and efficient claims operation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Review, evaluate, negotiate and resolve claims, within designated authority level and in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided.
- Exhibit technical leadership, both internally and externally, on claims matters which Allied World participates.
- Identify, investigate suspicious / fraudulent claims and take appropriate actions and keep relevant stakeholders closely informed.
- Market Allied World’s claims capabilities through client meetings, presentations and seminars to Insured, Intermediaries, etc.
- Manage insured/intermediary interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction. This includes handling and resolving any customer feedback or complaints.
- Organize and use approved internal and/or external suppliers to ensure appropriate and timely services are provided to customers.
- Proactively supervise and manage expenses of independent vendors and legal counsels for the involved Line(s) of Business.
- Interact with relevant internal / external stakeholders to support and deliver business strategy.
- Ensure performance of periodic internal review of claim files including monitoring / pursuing of outstanding recoveries.
- Prepare reports or analyse where necessary regarding claims including large losses.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and policy requirements internally and externally.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as warranted.
- In the future, recruit and manage junior team member(s) as necessary.

**Qualifications**
- Relevant academic qualifications with a minimum of 7 to 10 years' claims experience.
- Preferably a holder or in pursuit of professional insurance qualification such as ANZIIF or ACII and meet minimum local mandatory qualification requirement.
- Experience handling large, complex claims for the Property and Onshore Construction Line(s) of Business.
- Knowledge of and experience in claims process improvements.
- Demonstrate ability to work with a variety of constituencies, internally and externally, not limited to claims management, policy holders, brokers, consultants, etc.
- Strong negotiating, analytical, written, organizational and communication skills.
- Good management and marketing skills.
