**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Meade & Eve are looking for an artesian designer to come on board to work on upcoming seasonal design collection pieces. A unique opportunity to join a small creative label working towards fulfilling project trajectories to create beautiful, meaningful pieces for our clients to look and feel empowered and amazing. Wonderful opportunity to engage with a niche boutique fashion label.

We are seeking a creative event occasion / smart wear designer who aspires to do great things, from genres clean and contemporary through to classical, historical, vintage and folk provincial.

You will have an interest in identity, culture, have the desire to say something of value, be aware and savvy of trends, Euro runway, have an appreciation of our own homegrown & international greats such as Zimmerman, Aje, Shona Joy, Misha as well as an appreciation of international acts such as Ulla Johnson, Dundas, Carolina Herrera, Etro, Bohemian Diesel to name a few.

You will be a creative who respects classic formal knowledge, and has the interest to play with it, a contemporary savvy lover and or /with some kind of historical liking be it ancient antiquity or post, baroque, romantics, or other historical classica, clean or fusion, someone who enjoys drawing attention through elegance, innovation and reinterpretation. You will be paired with a graphic designer on some jobs. Tech draw, measurements, spec capacity for international handovers, potential to source and make optional depending on concept submissions.

**RESPONSIBLITIES**
- To design submissions for upcoming collection, to drive, develop innovative, niche items/collection and range for the house
- Mood boards seasonal research trends in line with signature house vision
- Work in communication with management from initial concept start to approval
- Fabric selection & specification capacity favourable
- Creating technical sketches design & spec capacity for handovers
- Setting colour palettes & handing over Pantone’s
- Design print and repeat prints optional
- Recording all details accurately for Pattern Makers to review

**ABOUT YOU**
- Fashion and Textiles undergraduate degree or diploma qualified or equal too
- Compressive /to varying degrees of experience in; clean and contemporary, fusion, classical, historical, vintage and folk provincial
- Design experience, with a focus on dresses, jumpsuit, trouser, ensembles
- Product design and range building awareness
- Garment construction and technical knowledge saavy some
- Overseas up to the minuet euro runway trend awareness online research savvy
- Analyse relevance of trending for house, plan items /range accordingly
