**Who are we looking for?**:
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can use your community services and case management expertise to empower vulnerable individuals to sustain long term tenancies?

Your experience in case management, including assessment, planning, and advocacy, will allow you to develop comprehensive case plans and advocate effectively for your clients’ needs. There is a significant focus working alongside clients to improve property condition as well as any contributing factors.

You'll be skilled in trauma-informed practices, social justice principles, and understanding the needs of diverse populations, equipping you to provide empathetic and effective support to clients from various backgrounds.

This role is aimed to be intensive not on-going support. The sole purpose is to assess the tenants' situation, identify their gaps and then connecting them to the help they need so they can have a successful tenancy.

**What can you expect to be doing?**:
In this role, you will use your skills and experience to encourage those at risk of becoming homeless to improve the quality of their lives and reach their goals, as well as strengthen their connections within the community.
- Provide housing assistance to individuals and families with complex needs, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
- Work with tenants to improve property conditions and addressing any underlying issues.
- Offer flexible, client-centred interventions addressing issues like physical and mental health.
- Develop plans with individuals and families whose tenancy is at risk of termination
- Promote links with support networks
- Manage caseloads, record client information accurately, and stay updated on relevant policies and best practices.

**What do you need to bring?**:

- Tertiary education in community services or related field, or demonstrable experience in a relevant sector.
- Knowledge of social justice principles, housing, and homelessness issues.
- Proven experience in case management, including assessment, reporting, planning, referral, and advocacy.
- Ability to build and maintain effective networks, work autonomously and as part of a team, manage high workloads, and motivate clients towards their goals.
