The Integrated Homelessness Program (IHP) Housing Officer is responsible for managing public housing tenancies in the Integrated Homelessness Program. This role involves engaging with customers to understand their needs, coordinating property allocations and assertively engaging tenants whilst they are in the Integrated Homelessness Program. The IHP Housing Officer works closely with Specialist Homelessness Services Case Managers, to ensure customers move successfully into safe, stable, and supported housing. The IHP Housing Officer recognises that access to secure housing is essential for addressing other personal challenges and provides intensive engagement by providing frequent property visits, maintaining regular contact, and proactive support to promote long-term housing stability. The IHP Housing Officer also encourages clients to access supports and community resources, fostering their capacity for independence and wellbeing whilst ensuring compliance with tenancy obligations.
Special Conditions
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Clearance prior to being employed.
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a DHS Screening Unit Working with Children Check prior to being employed and every 5 years.
- The successful applicant is required to hold a current Australian issued Drivers Licence, which must be maintained.
- Some out of hour's work may be required upon activation of the Emergency Relief Functional Support Group.
- Appointment will be to a specific region within SA Housing Trust with possible movement to any other regions and/or locations depending on organisational needs. The incumbent may be assigned to any other area to perform work of a similar nature appropriate to the classification on a temporary or continuing basis.

Requirements
Desirable - Social Housing Management Diploma; Social Science or Human Service Qualification.
Remuneration
$76,561 - $80,256 (ASO4)
