**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity to join John Flynn Village**Retirement Village, 2 - 6 Foundation Boulevard, Burwood East, Melbourne, Victoria as a Personal Care Worker.**This part time care role is within**our high care**team**.**

We strive to be the exemplars of quality in the aged-care industry and champions of the continuum of care model; delivering care that is tailored to our residents' health needs, preferences and rights, and we're looking for the right kind of people to join us on this incredible journey.

In this role you will:

- Develop lasting relationships with our residents and their families
- Follow our resident's individual care plans, providing care that would be good enough for mum and dad
- Use the latest technology - including our own purpose-built care app myRyman
- Work closely with, and support your colleagues creating a great team environment

**About You**

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:

- ESSENTIAL-Certificate 3 Individual Support OR Certificate 4 in Ageing Support ONLY
- ESSENTIAL-Residential aged care facility experience
- ESSENTIAL-Understanding of dementia and hold positive working style and empathy approach towards residents living with dementia
- Strong understanding of elder abuse
- Experience in care for Palliative residents
- Efficient time management, able to work independently without supervision and under pressure
- A reliable, friendly and professional style
