**The position**:
Payroll Officer position reporting to the Senior Accountant. The Payroll Officer is responsible for providing accurate and timely processing of the Company’s payroll.
**Your day-to-day tasks will include, but not be limited to**:
- End-to-end processing of selected (monthly & fortnightly) payroll.
- Maintain close working relationships with all Accounts Department staff to ensure reconciliation of the payroll system and accounting system
- Manage documents and record keeping as per requirements of the relevant government legislation and departmental requirements.
- Process of workers’ compensation payments (to individuals and insurers) and claims documentation.
- Maintain wages and timekeeping records.
- Updating and maintaining payroll records, in both hard and soft copy.
- On-going maintenance of payroll system.
- Maintain leave, sickness and overtime reports where required.

- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar role. Ideally in the resources industry
- Experience in ERPs such as SAP, Pronto or SuccessFactors
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Understanding of accountancy processes and requirements
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to prepare concise and meaningful reports
- Ability to work to deadlines
