The Training Specialist will operate in a highly competitive and regulated insurance industry, and are responsible for the design, development, implementation, evaluation and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive and targeted training programs. They will work closely with internal stakeholders and external business partners to create session plans, develop instructional materials, and ensure employees' growth aligns with the centre’s and tribes strategic objectives.
This role also plays a pivotal part in developing and delivering brand training across a number of internal and external businesses to ensure consistent brand expectations and alignment of customer experiences.
In addition to this the Training Specialist is responsible for the Knowledge Management strategy, design and maintenance for Qantas related material and management of external business partners to deliver on all regulatory and compliance related knowledge management tools.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Consult with business partners to identify training needs and determine where further training is required to ensure that Agents remain compliant according to their roles.
- Design and implement training programs, including induction and projects for multiple lines of businesses and working with business partners to ensure alignment to industry and regulatory expectations.
- Consult with leadership team to support ongoing technical training and knowledge to ensure Agents meet quality requirements and sales expectations of their role.
- Create all instructional materials to support training programs to ensure that content is auditable and supports consistent delivery across multiple facilitators.
- Deliver highly engaging and effective training sessions to ensure job readiness of new starters and ongoing upskilling of existing Agents.
- Schedule training plans for multiple lines of businesses to ensure that there is mínimal operation impact for Agents to get up to date with regulatory and operational changes that are relevant to their role.
- Evaluate training effectiveness to ensure that programs remain relevant, engaging and effective.
- Maintain knowledge regarding with operational changes and trends to ensure that existing training programs can be updated and effectively delivered.
- Design and deliver on-going learning journeys for Sales and Engagement Staff to ensure currency of operational and regulatory knowledge.
You’ll have:
- 3+ years' experience of working in a Training position
- BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Proven experience in designing multiple training programs
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and within deadlines.
- Proven ability to master the full training cycle
- Knowledge of learning management software
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning technologies is essential.
- Sound decision making and organisational skills
- Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for various audiences and topics
- Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
- Creativity, innovation, problem-solving skills are key for designing engaging and effective learning solutions.
- Organisational skills, time management and project management skills are needed to plan and execute training activities within deadlines.
- Collaboration skills to work with diverse groups of learners, business partners and managers are also essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google suite
