The Training Specialist will support the Retail Training Manager in deploying the learning strategies of Heinemann Oceania.

Your new job includes

  • The Training Specialist will support the Retail Training Manager in deploying the learning strategy of Heinemann Oceania in retail perspective.
  • Prepare and maintain department training calendars across all stores.
  • Coordinate and provide training in store and classroom support for retail sales staff, coordinate retail sales team training iPads
  • Coordinate logistics for, retail training, meeting room bookings, materials and equipment set up for operational, customer service and product training.
  • Coordinate and update operational procedures folders in collaboration with the Retail Training Manager
  • Helping out the customers on the shop floor when in need.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards are maintained across all training activities
  • Gather and evaluate information from retail sales staff on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that needs additional training, provide feedback to Retail Sales Manager.
  • Providing training will mean leading from the front, and this may include working in the retail stores from time to time.
  • Flexibility to adapt approaches to meet the diverse needs of different store teams

What you should bring along

  • Background in customer service, with experience in retail, training, delivery, processes and procedures
  • Exceptional customer service skills, experience in point-of-sale training
  • Excellent communication skills – exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities and high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • Be a natural self-starter who seeks out opportunity for improvement
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete to high standards
  • A strong understanding of the end-to-end training process
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques and customer service principles
  • Proven ability to engage and train individuals
