**The Role**
The APS 4 Administration Officer works collaboratively with the APS 6 Mission Support Officer to provide administrative support to the Directorate of Select Incident Review (DSIR).

The role includes creation and maintenance of database records; creation and archiving of digital and physical records; spreadsheet management in support of case tracking; file opening and closure; obtaining departmental documents and issuing notices to produce information; and providing administrative support to inquiry teams.

The APS 4 Administration Officer will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders including Service Headquarters, Coroners, Police Services, ADF units and Joint Health Command.

**About our Team**
DSIR is a small Canberra based team within the office of IGADF, comprising a mix of APS and military staff. The DSIR team conduct inquiries the death of ADF members, where the tragedy appears to have arisen out of, or in the course of, the member’s Defence service. The team prepares, on behalf of the IGADF, a report into the circumstances of the death, which is then provided to the Chief of the Defence Force.

DSIR is seeking a professional with initiative who can work collaboratively in a small team and understands the sensitive nature of the team’s work.

You will also possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a strong emphasis on being able to monitor and track the progress of inquiries, which are of a sensitive nature.

You will be required to be agile and work collaboratively with the APS 6 Mission Support Officer and members of the team.
