We have a unique opportunity for a Group Manager - CAD & BIM to join our national TEK (Technology, Engineering and Knowledge) division.

In this role you will lead and coordinate the TEK CAD & BIM Design Function and provide strategy and technical direction to the enterprise in support of the Digital Construction Strategy.

This role can be based in Melbourne | Sydney | Brisbane

**About the Role**:

- Advocate and support the use of TEK within the business
- Plan and control the delivery of CAD & BIM Design for precontracts and delivery phase projects within the nominated BU or Projects.
- Manage / Oversee the delivery CAD & BIM outputs to precontract and delivery phase projects were engaged to do so.
- Promote TEK CAD & BIM design function and its advantages within the business.
- Establish a high-performing CAD & BIM design team.
- Support the John Hollands Engineering and Construction teams, specifically value engineering, constructability, staging/sequencing, and methods engineering.
- Develop high-value use cases, including the documentation of processes, applicability and value proposition to the BU.
- Act as a senior member of the TEK DE&T team, providing leadership guidance and strategic support to the broader TEK SLT
- Develop and deliver a portfolio strategy and business plan for DE focused-on people, process and technology developments.
- Participate in a Digital Engineering Community of Practice (COP), including introducing and up-skilling project resources and adopting of innovative practices.
- Manage / Oversee a CAD & BIM solutions portfolio were nominated as a Subject Mater Expert (SME)
- Provide Strong CAD & BIM design leadership and advice to the BU through coordination with Project Directors, Business Development Managers and Precontracts Managers.
- Develop and implement training curriculums to support CAD & BIM technologies. Provide learning support through coaching and sharing of knowledge.
- Demonstrate people management by assisting BU’s with resourcing, scoping and the reliable selection of CAD & BIM technologies.
- Take responsibility for client engagement on projects that were nominated in a CAD & BIM Role. Oversee all tasks on projects and where nominated as a project manager.
- Ensure all appropriate knowledge and technical solutions are communicated to functional, line management, and TEK SLT.
- Ensure effective and appropriate collaboration and communication approaches are used within JHG to maximise the value offered within the market and unify TEK message to all external stakeholders.
- Ensure all operations are compliant with TEK & JHG Policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate and behave in a way that is consistent with JHG principles and code of business conduct.
- Maintain a strong industry presence through local, national and international organisations. Advocate JHG capability through industry engagements.

**About You**:
This position will require you to hold a degree qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Built Environment or Architecture, and have extensive experience in the Engineering Consulting or Construction industry, with a significant portion of that experience being as a Senior CAD & BIM Design Lead and leading teams.

You will have an advanced understanding of CAD & BIM Design, particularly in the Infrastructure and Rail business sectors, and have a broad knowledge of Design and Construction Management Processes. You will have experience working closely with Design and Construction teams in support of Constructability and Methods Engineering as well as supporting Value Engineering AND Design Optimisation. Exposure to working within the precontract environment on multiple tenders is highly regarded.
