At its core, business development (BD) is an essential component in generating and growing a sustainable workbook within Mining Plus.
- We are looking for someone who wants to take the next steps in their career, with a keen interest in business development and management._

This role will receive training and mentoring from our Chief Development Officer -Thomas Durr, whilst directly reporting to our Area Manager - Underground, Rhys Watkins.

The Opportunity_**

This Team Lead role will provide business development support and growth opportunities to the team by ensuring the continuity of workbook and managing the opportunity pipeline, including generating proposals for clients.

This role will suit a professional who understands the proposal execution process, has a high attention to detail, and an ability to build trusting, working relationships with all stakeholders including colleagues and potential clients.

You will utilise your professional expertise, resource coordination, and confident communication skills to generate and grow the Underground Division’s workbook.

Key attributes required are a natural talent in building client relationships, maintaining an awareness of industry trends and a desire to gain essential BD skills, all of which are essential components of a managerial role. You are also a results-driven self-starter, with initiative and a desire to succeed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Driving, maintaining, and expanding the current Underground workbook
- Establishing and building upon strategic long-standing client relationships, as well as identifying and developing new relationships
- Management and facilitation of the proposal execution process
- Actively contributing to the team in line with business expectations and best practice

- Great relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner to both colleagues and stakeholders, and to manage expectations
- Have a proven ability to establish new client relationships and maintain existing long-term client relationships
- Be able to work autonomously
- Understand the mining industry, and market trends and be able to act on potential opportunities
- Have a passion to develop skills in business development
