**ABOUT THE**
**ROLE***: Surgical Access Manager**
- Part time job share - 24 hours a week
- The Elective Surgery Access Manager is responsible for the coordination and oversight of planned surgical admissions to Heidelberg Mercy Hospital. Through the Elective Surgery Access Team the SAM is responsible for the management and integrity of the Elective Surgery waiting lists, including compliance with Elective Surgery Access Policy and Elective Surgery Information Systems business rules, compliance with National Elective Surgery Targets and Pre Admission process. This position works closely with Surgical Units, Surgical Ward, Day of Surgery Admissions and Operating Theatres to ensure bookings are managed efficiently and utilisation of theatre sessions is maximised.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- The Surgical Access Manager will demonstarte the following:
- Registered Nurse with Current APHRA
- A minmum of 5 Years Post Registration experience
- Post-Graduate or Higher certification
- Knowledge of the Elective Surgery Access Policy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change management.
- Demonstrated project management and data analysis skills
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
- Advanced computer word/excel skills hightly desirable.
