**About the role**

APS5 Learning Advisor (1 Vacancy)

**About the team - The Service Delivery Learning Branch**

The Service Delivery Learning Branch is part of the agency's Learning Academy and works with stakeholders to build world class service delivery skills.

The Service Delivery Learning Branch:

- analyses service delivery capability gaps in the context of short and long term workforce needs
- develops learning and career pathways
- designs learning experiences in consultation with key stakeholders
- pilots learning experiences to allow adjustments prior to full-scale implementation
- works with stakeholders to coordinate learning demand and delivery with workforce supply initiatives and workforce strategy
- evaluates the effectiveness and quality of learning outcomes
- undertakes ongoing, proactive reviews of learning and development experiences.

**Tenure**

The roles are full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing, non-ongoing contracts for up to 18 months.

A key requirement is to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, work collaboratively and share best practice. Learning Advisers work under the general direction of senior staff and exercise a degree of independent judgement when making decisions.

They consider competing priorities when planning their work and contribute to changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies.

**As a Learning Advisor you will work as part of a multi-skilled team. Duties may include some or all the following**:

- contribute to the work area’s improvement initiatives and projects
- provide high level advice and support regarding capability development solutions
- contribute to, and support, the curation, design and development of content including digital and mobile solutions
- undertake learning project support that contributes to capability development
- coordinate the provision of learning solutions, from a range of providers
- provide high level advice and support on learning technologies - assist with the provision of training administration, support and coordination of activities
- gather and document user insights
- perform objective research and analysis of learning data that informs recommendations for improvements
- assist with the development of reports and corporate documentation
- undertake quality assurance activities
- represent the work area at meetings and other workplace events
- contribute to activities that build team capability
- contribute to work area improvements including team plans, procedures, tools or business process improvements
- exercise appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
