APS5 Project Support Officer (1 Vacancy)

**About the team - Integrity Transformation Branch**

The Integrity Transformation Branch teams embrace agile principles and User-Centred Design approaches to ensure that solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of customers.

Overall, we play a crucial role in ensuring that the agency's integrity and compliance activities align with the principles and goals of the master plan, while simplifying debt processes through proactive and customer-centric solutions.

**Tenure**

The roles are full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing, non-ongoing contracts for up to 18 months.

**What you will do
Project Support professionals work within a broader team to design and implement projects that improve the way Services Australia delivers payments and services to the Australian community. They monitor project schedules and budgets, prepare progress reports, and liaise with key stakeholders.

Project Support Officers provide high-level procedural, administrative and operational support to a work area to support the delivery of the agency’s projects. Working under the general direction of senior staff, they play a role in maintaining relationships with other project teams, and stakeholders to provide advice and ensure the consistent delivery of project outputs.

**Duties may include some or all of the following:
- assist in project management and coordination activities
- contribute to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency’s project management framework
- contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement
- assist with the training of new staff to build knowledge and capability
- provide advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work
- perform research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities
- contribute to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports
- draft a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review by senior staff
- assist with monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management
- assist with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits
- assist with project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs
- support and maintain stakeholder relationships to support the delivery of projects
- develop communication material to promote new projects and support other change management activities
- represent the team or work area at meetings and forums
- exercise delegations appropriate to role in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
