**Our Department Values**
Our values set the direction for what it means to work in our department. They inform the standard and expectations of behaviours, skills and capabilities and the attributes we currently have, will continually work to achieve and develop, and that we use to acknowledge and attract, retain and recruit into our department.
**Work with us**
Communications and connectivity are vital to Australia’s economy and society. High quality communications services, like phone and broadband, are becoming increasingly relied on by communities for everything from emergency notifications through to banking.
We are at the centre of developing policy and programs to ensure all Australians have access to reliable communications and postal services nationally, including leading the Australian Government’s response to improve communications connectivity for regional, rural and remote Australians.
The Post, International Telecommunications and ACMA Branch is recruiting to support delivery of a significant forward work program. On any given day, PITA staff provide advice to government on a wide range of postal policy and international telecommunications matters, promote Australia’s communications interests on the international stage, explore issues relating to the delivery of universal postal services to regional rural and remote communities, as well as support a range of other interesting and important governance functions for the communications regulator, Australian Communications Media Authority, and Australia Post.
**The opportunity we have available**
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Are you looking for a policy advisor role? PITA Branch is looking for you We have a number of expected vacancies across different sections of our branch.

- Are you passionate about ensuring communities across Australia, including in the regions, have the connectivity and access to services they need to interact and do business on and offline? Our workdays are dynamic and diverse, with a great mix of exciting and reactive tasks, as well as longer term and innovative thinking. You can expect countless opportunities to arise to flex your skill set and develop new skills
Our positions will involve building relationships with industry and government stakeholders, including telecommunications companies, regulators and ombudsmen, both in Australia and overseas. Worried you haven’t got the qualifications or technical experience for the role?
