Operations Risk Specialist

**The role and what we're looking for**

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Support the creation, updating and reviewing of new and existing policies, procedures, process manuals and forms for the Automotive division
- Carry out Line 1 control development, testing and reporting.
- Progress, close out and provide administration support for any required audit findings in accordance with approved baselines (scope, time, cost & quality).
- Collaborate in annual Risk Controlled Self Assessments and ensure the Business Continuity Plan is maintained.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports as required and requested by management.
- Reviewing processes to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements and management agreements in consultation with the Legal and Risk Advisory & Audit teams.
- Monitor upcoming regulatory changes and external environment to ensure processes will meet future compliance requirements, in consultation with the Legal team, Risk Advisory and key business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes across Capricorn's Member & Supplier Operations and assist with the implementation of those process improvements.
- Provide support to the Operations Support Lead in rectifying operational issues.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to a customer service environment.
- Experience in operational and compliance risk relating to insurance and financial services (desirable).
- Have high level analytical skills for collecting, interpreting and evaluating business processes.
- Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement with creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience working with teams to achieve outcomes.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to give and follow instructions accurately and efficiently; proactive in asking clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed wholly toward desired outcome.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges.
- Strong time-management skills to effectively plan, work under pressure and prioritise tasks to ensure delivery within set deadlines.

**Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce (preferred)
- CERT IV in Operations or Business Administration (desirable)
