Join Us as an Operational Risk Specialist

We’re looking for an experiencedOperational Risk Specialistto join our Risk and Support divisions and play a key role in strengthening our risk culture and governance frameworks.

What You’ll Do

As our Operational Risk Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our risk and compliance efforts—working closely with Business stakeholders, Line 2 Risk and Legal teams to:

Accurately assess operational risks across the business though the timely triage, data analysis and interpretation resulting in clear and concise reporting to management of current and emerging trends.

Ensure all incidents and issues are raised in a timely manner, action plans address root cause and progress is tracking to due dates.

Assist business stakeholder in the implementation and interpretation of new policies and procedures.

Review and update relevant policies and procedures and test operational practices to ensure alignment with existing frameworks and guidance.

Develop, test and report on operational controls, key risk indicators and quality assurance tests; working with stakeholders to develop action plans and uplift processes to drive resilience, efficiency and compliance by design.

Oversee the complaints process, ensuring appropriate follow up and action and accuracy and completeness of system reporting.

Assist in co-ordinating and completing the Risk Control Self-Assessment and business continuity plan processes.

Validate the front-line training requirements are fit for purpose.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a collaborative mindset:

A solid grasp of risk and control principles, with the ability to apply them practically.

Exceptional communication skills—able to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance.

Sharp analytical thinking and attention to detail to spot risks and opportunities.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.

Flexibility and resilience in the face of change.

Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines under pressure.

Your Experience

At least5 years in Financial Services, ideally with3+ years in risk, compliance, or corporate governance.

Experience in insurance or related sectors is a plus.

Your Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications inCompliance, Business, Commerce, Finance, or Law.

Knowledge ofISO 31000 Risk Managementis highly desirable.

Insurance-related qualifications are a bonus.
