Immunisation Program Officer

The role Reporting to the Team Leader, Vaccine Coordination, Communicable Disease Branch you will:

- Utilise databases to input data relating to vaccine orders, cold chain breaches and vaccine transfers/discards
- Provide high level customer service and respond appropriately to queries from immunisation providers, accept vaccine orders and other requests
- Monitor and ensure the quality and integrity of the database by registering and updating current information
- Foster and maintain strong and positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Maintain a thorough level of understanding of vaccine inventory including brand names, antigens and program eligibility
- Coordinate the delivery of bulk vaccines for the school immunisation, influenza and other program roll outs
- Manage vaccine distribution through the use of cloud-based browsers to balance daily orders and deliveries
- Act as the main contact point between Queensland Health's public health units and the contracted distributor to coordinate urgent deliveries for outbreaks and contact cases
- Escalate, track and resolve vaccine delivery issues
- Disseminate program updates to stakeholders including service providers and public health units
- Participate in and contribute to Immunisation Program team meetings with the aim of improving service delivery, program implementation and fostering teamwork

- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to respond appropriately and professionally to queries from immunisation stakeholders

Should a major health concern arise, be available on a 24x7 basis out of hours and have the ability to work extended and/or rotating shifts (24/7) as required.
