**Mandatory Qualification / Requirements**:

- You are required to possess a 'C' class driver's licence to undertake intrastate travel for short periods

**Desirable Qualification / Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in tertiary child protection practice and possession of a degree and/or post graduate studies in related content is highly desirable.

**Role specific/technical skills**:

- You possess extensive knowledge of current policies, practices, trends and philosophies relating to the provision of human services.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Develop, manage and implement projects and programs that support the effective delivery of services relevant to the business unit. Provide high level program management advice and direction in relation to human service initiatives. Identify information from a wide range of sources and provide strategic analysis and advice on complex operation program, policy and legislative issues relating to the programs and initiatives delivered by the business unit. Coordinate day-to-day operations to deliver on project outcomes that support the department's capacity to deliver and maintain quality services. Provide high level liaison, consultation and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders towards the development and implementation of whole-of-government policy and program initiatives relating to the programs and initiatives delivered by the business unit. Ensure that service delivery arrangements support the department's program and strategic intent. Provide high level analysis, advice and recommendations of innovative approaches to new trends and issues that impact on service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
