The Manager, Asset Support will be responsible for establishing asset management operational capabilities across the sector with a strong focus on providing technical guidance on asset management operational issues to health agencies and the department's program areas. The role will also be responsible for managing the handover of infrastructure assets from delivery stages to operation, ensuring seamless transition between multiple business areas. The Manager, Asset Support will also work with the wider team in the implementation of the asset management transformation activities through the delivery of multiple asset management projects and initiatives.

**Accountabilities**
- Manage and support the delivery of multiple asset management projects as part of the transformation plan with a strong focus on asset planning, maintenance standards, asset performance and operational asset management capabilities improvement.
- Manage the Asset Support team in providing guidance on assets operational issues including engineering infrastructure and facilities to health agencies and various program areas across the department.
- Manage and oversee the assets handover processes from delivery projects to operations, coordinating between multiple teams across the department and health agencies across the state. This includes reviewing relevant documentations in line with AMAF requirements and the Project Management Framework (PMF).
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the department's program areas and health services relevant stakeholders to coordinate the implementation of relevant asset management initiatives and projects.
- Prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters as required by the director.
- Be responsible for overseeing, monitoring and delivering projects using internal or external resources in accordance with relevant legislation, government regulations and guidelines.
- Oversee all project activities, ensuring deliverables and standards of excellence are achieved on time and on budget.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
- Ensure risk is effectively identified and managed.
- Build strong working relationships and competently negotiate with stakeholders and external institutions including branch team members, and consultants to ensure work is prioritised and delivered on time and to appropriate quality standards.
- Exercise independent, professional judgement and provide management guidance to identify and promptly respond to, and resolve, key issues and risks.
