**Manager Infrastructure Architecture**:
- Melbourne, VIC, AU, 3000
**About us**:
We’re a team that cares about you and your community. CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy own and operate the electricity distribution networks servicing 1.9 million customers located across 65% of Victoria. These customers include a large number of households, as well as commercial and industrial businesses, world class arts, health and sporting precincts, popular tourism regions and the biggest infrastructure projects in Victoria.
In designing and delivering these services, our people are united by a real sense of purpose to empower customer choices in ways that are important for our communities and the environment. Using advanced analytics, knowledge built through years of practical expertise, partnerships with leading researchers, and the courage to experiment, our people are proud to be disruptive influencers amongst the electricity industry.
Increasingly, our networks are connecting new large-scale renewable energy generators and integrating technologies like solar, batteries and electric vehicles as customers change the way they generate, use, store and share power. This demand is transforming the electricity market faster than any change we’ve ever seen before. As a result, our people are at the frontline in developing and implementing innovative technologies and solutions necessary for the future of our industry not only in Victoria but globally.
**About the Role**:
We are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architecture Manager to join our Infrastructure Technology team at our CBD head office on a full time and permanent basis.
This position will be responsible for ensuring architectural patterns, principles and designs for infrastructure work and existing services meet the needs of our business and align to the IT strategy. The expertise of this role is crucial in making sure the services and solutions are designed to optimise and drive a secure, diverse, reliable, and highly available technical infrastructure landscape, ensuring all work packages meet the requirements of the business.
In addition, the role is also accountable for leading a team of internal employees and contractors to ensure the coordinated and planned delivery of project designs, strategy, roadmaps, and infrastructure architecture processes, ensuring a high quality and standard approach is taken.
**What you’ll deliver**:
- Create, maintain, and prioritise the architectural design function of planned & unplanned work to deliver value to requestors and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop packages of work that are aligned with the technology vision and strategy and their requirements.
- Own and drive infrastructure architecture templates, principles, patterns and as built documentation to increase knowledge and decrease re-work and double handling.
- Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships at all levels within both IT and non-IT business units.
- Design strategies, mitigate design risks and requirements with consideration of constraints, and manages appropriate exceptions, whilst retaining focus on delivering value with velocity.
- Create a team culture that is aligned with our corporate values to focus on customer engagement, satisfaction and continuous improvement to delivery outcomes and value delivery.
- Review and refine architecture and design practices with both internal and external best practise models to ensure they are fit-for-purpose.
- Contribute to the Enterprise architecture by attending and representing the Infrastructure Technology Domain in the Architecture Review Board.
**To succeed in this role you’ll have**:
- University degree or post graduate level qualifications in Business Administration or IT, and/or significant work experience
- TOGAF certification or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture management and improvement practices
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers
- Proficiency in core delivery methodologies - Waterfall, Agile, SAFe and DevOps
- Demonstrated previous experience as an Architecture Manager
- Infrastructure technology management background, including on-prem, private and public cloud skills and understanding.
- Demonstrated strong mentoring skills and people uplift capability.
**Your career with us**:
We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes. Our people are our most important asset, and we continually invest in nurturing their capability.
We proudly strive to provide a safe, inclusive and sustainable environment where all our people feel respected, valued and supported to bring their whole selves to work and be the best they can be.
