Architecture Practice Manager

Strong people leader to manage architecture practice - Good architecture background - Permanent role in Melbourne Strong people leader with architecture experience to manage an architecture practice at a well-known Melbourne organisation. Reporting to the CIO, the Technology Architecture Practice Manager will lead a team of 9-10 and is accountable for the architectural authority across Technology strategy, roadmaps and solutions delivered via projects and service improvement initiatives. Responsibilities for the role will include - Lead and develop a high performing Architecture Practice team - Coach and mentor your direct reports, OCMS peers and business stakeholders as required - Establish and operate the Architecture Governance Framework that supports Technology-Business operations, compliance, and strategic requirements - Document and propagate Architecture standards and processes which are easily understood and sustainably utilised by your team - Implement and optimise tools that enable Architecture Services operate efficiently, share, and maintain knowledge and provide auditability for compliance and reporting purposes - Develop and maintain a heat map and/or IT investment roadmap that reflects "current state" and horizons required for "future-state" outcomes - Chair relative forums, meetings, townhalls as per your sphere of accountability - Strong experience of managing a technology architecture practice in a governance and compliance role preferably in a matrix operational model with architecture resources working in separate functional teams - Good architecture experience - Demonstrable, strong people leadership skills, proven track record of building and leading high performing teams - Self-awareness and the ability to work with ambiguity, diverse personalities and conflicting priorities - Strong focus on partnering, planning and quality delivery to ensure that there is confidence with commitments - Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management, including the ability to manage budgets and financial reporting requirements for large scale programs of work - Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics - Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation - Ability to influence functions outside of their direct control to achieve best for business and best for network outcomes - Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills - Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment BBBH52500_167513209441629
