**About the role**
In this newly created role, you will provide commercial and analytical expertise to the Commercial Lead and undertake detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of services and past financial performance to develop models that project and forecast profitability, to guide decisions the organisation will make about the role we play in delivering services into the future

Key responsibilities include:

- Support commercial activities to deliver against the commercial roadmap of service delivery reviews with detailed analysis and modelling to monitor service performance and profitability and identify investment opportunities for us to maximise our resources.
- Provide financial modelling to guide business cases, project costs and determine optimal payment and delivery schedules to support business profitability.
- Undertake business modelling to identify areas to maximise profitability and support plans to optimise service plan delivery.
- Conduct financial research to support strategic business planning across the organisation and use modelling to predict trends to support the various SCP priorities.
- Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data analytics reports to support outsourcing and insourcing decisions.
- Undertake macro trend and industry analysis to build business cases and support commercial advisory services to the organisation.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have a background in data analysis and feel comfortable making informed recommendations on the back of your findings. You will have the ability to work autonomously, be creative, innovative and have a continuous improvement mindset. The ability to engage with a diverse range of people and a high level of attention to detail are vital in this role.

Essential Experience:

- Experience paying close attention to a variety of metrics and benchmarks to focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence using high level communication skills.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills in an ICT environment working with complex and/or challenging internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and undertake business analysis activities involving systems and business process re-engineering in a transformation environment.
- CFA qualified professional or relevant tertiary qualification in accounting/ finance and/ or extensive experience within a finance or commercial analyst role.
