Reporting Analyst required to take ownership of reporting services and take them to the next level.

**Your new company**

Hays is currently partnered with a Geelong based plant nursery to recruit a Reporting Analyst in a permanent capacity. This company is a world-class wholesale supplier of vegetable seedlings to the fresh produce industry and potted green life products to the nursery and garden industry.

**Your new role**

This role will take ownership of the organisations reporting services and take it to the next level, including Production, Sales and Financial KPI’s, dashboards and more. The role will be challenging and rewarding as the position plays a key role in assisting decision making and requires the development of highly effective working relationships across the business.

Responsibilities will include:

- Using Structured Query Language (SQL) and other coding languages to extract data.
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
- Interpret data, and analyse results using statistical techniques
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns relating to key performance indicators
- Identify anomalies in various data sources
- Filter and “clean” data Reporting
- Incorporate data analysis into designated ongoing reports
- Use analysed data to create reports identifying process improvement opportunities
- On request of Head of Finance & I.T. prepare and create reports for other departments to assist with ongoing management

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics/Statistics, IT or Business/Commerce is highly advantageous.
- Fundamental knowledge of database systems and data modelling
- Sound understanding of BI Reporting tools and working with SQL databases
- Demonstrated experience in a reporting, analytics, finance, or other quantitative / data-driven role.
- Big picture thinker using this to influence and drive performance results
- Team player seeking to create an environment for continuous improvement
- Operates across the business through open communication and engagement.
- Strong Excel skills (conditional formulas, pivoting, charting, presentation)
- Strong analytical skills with commercial acumen and able to translate data into actionable insights to support strategic decision making.
- Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in engaging key stakeholders

**What you'll get in return**
