Personal Injury Claims (Icare) Nominal Insurer (NI) scheme operates within a regulated environment and are distributed under the GIO brand. As Australia’s largest Statutory insurer, GIO aspires to be the leading personal injury insurer across all schemes and markets nationally**.**

This crucial role is responsible for leading the acquisition of new business opportunities, using data insights as well as internal and external relationships. Cross business collaboration will be required to maintain relationships and communication resulting in increased market share.

The role is accountable for supporting our direct and brokered business by way of delivering better ways of working, identifying performance gaps and delivering a combined solution between all parties including claims to improve the Employer's performance.

**What you’ll do**:

- Work with Suncorp’s vision to set the context for the business to operationalise the strategy to deliver customer and shareholder value.
- Work as part of, and contribute to the culture of, a strong cohesive leadership team to create the best outcomes for Suncorp.
- Attract and develop new market leads by building relationships with existing brokers and utilizing data to seek new market opportunities direct or brokered
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the customer - reflected in underlying value proposition to customers, and the customer experience throughout the claims process
- Build a culture of cross business collaboration to enhance the customer experience and shape new strategies to improve customer focus.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Personal Injury Insurance
- Commercial understanding Personal Injury Insurance market and icare
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative strategic and commercial partnerships, relationships, and networks
- Expert understanding of the insurance industry, insurance claims, market environment and customer segments
- Strength in leadership and the ability to harness information.
- Experience in using data to form insights to drive opportunities
- The ability to confidently represent GIO externally
