Manager - Tendering and Technical Support

Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for Manager Tendering and Technical Support to join the Business Support Services team in Perth. Reporting to the General Manager Business Development and Technical Services, the purpose of this role is to support the Surface, Civil (bulk earthworks) and international business units in the areas of tendering, technical and operational support.

The Perth office is strategically located at the Airport (T1/T2) and boasts an impressive staff gym with personal and group training, free secure undercover parking, and electric vehicle charging stations.

**The role**
- Support the Surface, Civil (bulk earthworks) and international business units in the areas of tendering, technical and operational supportOrganise, direct, and coordinate corporate technical services personnel required to provide the necessary support to the site project and operational managers in Western Australia
- Work with the technology and business improvement divisions to leverage technology and data analytics
- Identify, support and implement improvement in the operational and technical services areas
- Provide technical and operational expertise that will work with both corporate and site teams to enhance the internal capability of our technical services workforce
- Contribute to the development of mining talent, knowledge, and capabilities across the business

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract mining companies in a technical services role
- Minimum 15 years’ experience within the mining industry in a technical or management role
- Able to facilitate and manage technical studies, up to and including bankable feasibility studies
- Understanding of financial principles and the mining industry
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Contract law knowledge
- Effective leadership, team building and coaching skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
- Broader management skills (Project Management/Commercial)
- Degree in a mining related discipline (Mine Engineering or equivalent)
