**About the role**

As a Technical Lead, you will collaborate with the Engineering Practice to enhance engineering capabilities across people, tools, culture, and ways of working. You will be responsible for ensuring code quality, delivering high-quality solutions, and driving excellence in software and platform engineering. This role includes system analysis, design, development, maintenance, and ongoing support, while also providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

**What you'll do**
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of guidelines for Continuous Delivery, automation, and security
- Coach and mentor engineers to improve their capabilities and ensure best practices are followed (coding standards, code reviews, automated testing)
- Evangelise secure software development principles through code reviews and threat modelling
- Improve and embed best practice engineering across people, process and technology

**What you'll bring**
- 7+ years professional software engineering experience with at least 3+ years of technical leadership responsibilities, including coaching and mentoring engineers
- Strong experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter, Contact Manager and frameworks of Guidewire
- Expertise in Java, Spring (Boot/Security/Hibernate) for building APIs and microservices
- Experience with React/ Typescript /Javascript, Tomcat, Oracle, and SQL databases
- Experience cloud technologies (AWS, GCP or Azure) and DevOps
