National Field Demonstrator and Account Manager

Support the PPG / Protec / CPC team by maximizing the usage of PPG Protec, LIC paint products including PPG consumable products by effectively demonstrating correct usage procedures. Increase share of wallet in existing accounts and distributors by effectively demonstrating & training consumable and paint products. Maintain & reinforce the agreed operating standards of designated accounts within all its facilities statewide & National. To ensure growth of share of wallet as possible is gained from each customer with PPG liquid and Allied Products
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Contribute to ensuring that PPG meets EH&S regulations by adhering to guidelines & procedures for safe work practices & educating customers in the safe use of PPG products.
3. Ensure feedback and results of demonstrations are communicated to the relevant Manager and Salesperson.
5. Maintain & service key PPG & LIC customers.
6. Support sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets and budgets.
7. Coordinate activities in conjunction with the support of the National BDM Team to deliver Key customer requirements.
8. Where identified as a requirement, conduct monthly facility audits in line with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and report back the results to the customer and LIC / Protec National Sales Manager
9. Where required participate in trialing new products processes prior to launch and provide feedback to Protec / LIC National Sales Manager & Product team.
10. Identify competitive consumable brand users in existing accounts and communicate strategies with salesperson to gain access to demonstrate the benefits of using all consumable and paint products supplied by PPG.
12. Assist installation of mixing equipment, paint systems, and computer hardware / software.
13. Build strong relationships with PPG staff and Distribution Network
14. Adhere to pricing initiative policies to deliver the required profit contribution.
15. Develop and maintain close links with key customers & industry groups.
16. Market intelligence and competitor activity communicated accurately through timely submission weekly reports.
17. Timely submission of assigned reporting and participation & contribution to sales meeting.
18. Customer records maintained accurately and up to date.
19. Effective utilization of “Excellence in Strategic Selling” techniques and tools.
20. Other duties as required
1. Trade qualification in Refinish Spray Painting minimum 5 years’ experience in a high standard Refinish / LIC end user.
2. Sound sales experience desirable but not necessary.
3. Strong customer focus.
5. Skilled in the practical use of PPG, LIC & Protec products desirable but not necessary.
6. Previous experience with competitor products an advantage.
7. Negotiation and presentation skills.
8. Planning and prioritizing.
9. Relationship building.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
