About the role
- To provide leadership and management of RBWH front reception area (trust and admissions) and the Volunteer Program including direction and management of the volunteer lifecycle.
- To provide strategic direction and leadership to administrative staff within a client focused multi-disciplinary environment. This role will facilitate effective business and administration practices, delegated activities and decisions that ensure the provision of an efficient administrative service, supporting staff and patients of the services provided by the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
About you
- Manage all aspects of the Volunteer Program across the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, including all operational functions from acquisition, orientation, on-boarding, training, education, through to reward and recognition.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with Key Metro North personnel with a view to grow the volunteer program to meet the needs of hospital departments, leading to a higher level of patient care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedure and guidelines that adhere to the objectives of the RBWH Volunteer Program and meet relevant Workplace Health and Safety compliance requirements (including Metro North compliance).
- Provide professional supervision, development and guidance to Volunteers within a complex and diverse multidisciplinary environment, identifying training needs, appraising performance, and addressing issues.
- Review and evaluate the Volunteer Program to determine if functional activities are smoothly integrated within the programs of the Hospital.
- Manage recruitment, orientation, training and ongoing supervision of administration staff using contemporary human resource management practices with particular reference to developing and enhancing staff competencies and experiences to support operational efficiency.
