Our client is a long-standing member in the insurance field in the Australian Market, they operate in niche and specialist classes of business insurance. Primarily operating within Australia and New Zealand they deliver innovative insurance solutions to the business community through its diversified growing number of insurance lines. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing and successful organization in the next phase of their expansion.

**About the Role**

As a claims officer, you will report to the head of claims and manage a portfolio of motor insurance claims. This role is involved in the end-to-end claims handling process and provides support to the wider team within the commercial motor insurance line.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diligent maintenance of electronic claim files ensuring all claim documentation is uploaded to the claim file in a timely manner
- Application of claim settlements
- Liaising and instructing investigators and assessors
- Deliver high quality customer service and develop a good working relationship with all customers and service providers
- Process claims in line with set procedures and policies for a prompt and effective outcome
- Facilitate open dialogue with stakeholders in relation to policy interpretation and specific claim management issues.
- Ad hoc administrative duties as and when required.

**About You**
- 1 + years experience in a general insurance environment, ideally in motor insurance
- Good verbal and written communication, including professional phone manner
- Knowledge of claims management processes
- Experience utilizing a major claims management system
- Good technical/computer skills
- Experienced in working with other business stakeholders to gather information
- Excellent Planning and Organizational skills.
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative and be proactive.
