Development Officer Community Engagement

We have a rare opportunity for a motivated and experienced library professional who is passionate about Community Engagement to fill the Development Officer role for up to 12 months.
**About the role**:
Working across Library Teams to develop innovative programs and activities to engage and enrich The Hills community, the successful applicant will manage the planning, coordination & delivery of the activity and promotional programme, marketing & merchandising strategies, social media presence and community engagement programmes for the Library Service.
**Duties include**:
- Manage the annual Feast of Speakers events in line with the Library business plan including integration of Sydney Writers Festival and the Pioneer Theatre.
- Develop marketing and merchandising strategy across the library service to engage customers and increase usage of the library and collections.
- Develop & implement outreach strategies, including utilisation of the Library Caddy to address identified target markets in the community. Evaluate and report on such initiatives.
- Oversee service wide programmes coordinated by Programs & Outreach Officer.
- Provide direct Customer Service at any of Council’s libraries and process customer transactions for Council & Library, including weekends.
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree or post graduate qualifications or undertaking degree or post graduate qualifications in Library & Information Studies, Communication or Marketing.
- Significant public library experience or project/promotions experience.
- Highly developed technology, written and oral communication skills.
- Experienced in budgeting, compiling and preparing reports.

**Position details**:
Temporary full-time role, ML822, Salary: From $84K + Superannuation + Performance Bonus (up to 2% annual salary) + organisational bonus (up to $2K) + Aquatic and Fitness membership discounts.
