The** Downer Water Services team **is undertaking a program of works for the DOWSP programs - Water Southern zone and Wastewater Regional zone. This is a project delivery team for water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations and wastewater treatment plants.

**THE ROLE**:
As a valued member of the Water team, the Community & Stakeholder Engagement Officer is critical to the successful implementation of various community & stakeholder strategies and initiatives across the wider project. Reporting to the Senior Community Engagement Manager, this role would suit an individual seeking a varied, people-oriented role in a highly cohesive and supported team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assist in distribution of program communication materials on field/site and digitally.
- Attend design, construction and planning meetings and discuss community impacts associated with program activities.
- Develop and implement community and stakeholder engagement plans for synergistic projects including community events, tours, and commissioning ceremonies.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Communication, Public Relations or Marketing.
- Experience working on construction or infrastructure projects (highly regarded).
- Comfortable navigating and resolving challenging stakeholder engagement issues and complaints.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and writing ability.
- Current drivers’ licence.
