The Role
The Logistics Officer role directly supports Military Policing capability. You will conduct internal and external audits through online platforms, internal governance documents and other Logistic registers. You may be directed to help develop internal policy, business processes/procedural documentation and improve database administration, data management/analysis tools and knowledge management products.

Within the Logistics Management function you will be accountable, under direction, to perform and achieve logistics inventory management work within the JMPF workforce. You should have a good understanding of compliance under legislative frameworks and policy requirements. You will be accountable for organising your work and making independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility. You will interpret legislation, policy and procedures, conduct audits and perform procedural and administrative work to achieve results. You will be expected to be capable of developing quality work and identify opportunities for development and training to enhance your performance.

About our Team
Working in the Logistic Cell within Headquarters Joint Military Police Force (JMPF), directly/indirectly provide support Joint Military Police Stations and detachments located across States and Territories. The Logistics Cell support Military Police through procurement and governance of Military Policing Ensemble and Equipment. The team also supports the Commanding Officer through the provision of specialist logistics knowledge, and offer advice to HQ Joint Military Police Unit when required. This position comes with the opportunity to be part of an integrated team and positively impact ADF Military Policing Capability.

Manage governance duties on logistics inventory management activities in accordance with policy and procedures;
Coordinate logistics inventory management through the use of information management systems;
Demonstrate knowledge to provide advice on logistics inventory management to stakeholders;
Work under limited direction and have the ability to help with problem solving;
Investigate and recommend solutions for complex issues;
Value team work and have a proven record of performance in a diverse and integrated environment; and

Work collaboratively with good communication skills when negotiating with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
