Space Systems Branch has a number of exciting opportunities for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Practitioners to join the team and work in support of Australian Defence Force (ADF) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) capabilities.
Satellite Communications SPO sustains leading edge communications technology in support of ADF operations, both here and overseas. These capabilities range from strategic and tactical satellite communication systems, to global positioning systems and communications networks.
**About our Team**
Space Systems Branch has been established to acquire and sustain SATCOM and GPS systems, and be a trusted advisor of SATCOM systems for the Australian Defence Organisation. SATCOM Systems Program Office within Space Systems Branch operates in a high-tempo and dynamic environment. The team comprises professionals from various disciplines including project management, engineering, commercial and logistics.
This multi-disciplinary team is composed of highly-skilled and motivated Australian Public Service, ADF and contracted personnel. The team works from Brindabella Park Offices in Canberra and maintains close collaboration with other parts of Defence and other government agencies.
The successful applicants will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of APS, ADF and contracted support to ensure the SATCOM and GPS capabilities are supported in accordance with operational requirements, budget and service agreements.
They will have the ability to manage key stakeholder relationships, including engaging, negotiating and responding to complex enquiries and contract management issues and will be able to take the initiative to identify alternative courses of action to ensure the speedy resolution of issues.
A Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is required for commencement.
