Working with the majority of top 20 pharmaceutical companies in Australia and around the world, Swipe’s unique performance-based model delivers unparalleled value to our customers (medical affairs professionals) who are seeking to maximise the engagement and impact of their scientific communications with target Healthcare Professionals.
There is now an opportunity for a talented mid-level sales/account specialist to play a key role in the ongoing success of our campaigns as the company prepares for another phase of growth.
**The role**
The role will consist of several key responsibilities, but the focus will be primarily on business development via growing existing accounts and winning new business.
You will be responsible for building strong client relationships with existing and new clients, and ensuring that the agency continues to outperform the clients’ expectations.
Once you are up and running, you’ll have autonomous responsibility to support our business development efforts for growth. Along with this you’ll help your customers to set up, execute, measure and report on their campaigns with a view to growing their accounts. Furthermore you'll be seek out new opportunities with potential clients.
Example responsibilities:
Business Development
- Identifying potential companies and customers who would benefit from our services/campaigns and setting up meetings in order to pitch new business
- Researching the products (medicines) of our customers, in order to tailor our solution/service to the needs of the customer
- Quoting and negotiating proposed campaigns (scope and pricing)
- Following up with customers post-sale, ensuring account management is adequate and campaign deliverables are on track, in order to fuel future renewal discussions
- Developing sales plans and sales reports to set budgets and measure impact/success
Account Management
- Liaising with customers to receive instructions on which content they wish to promote
- Setting up campaigns on the analytics platform
- Preparing tests, mockups and documents of campaign content for customer internal review/approval purposes
- Review accounts and keep tabs on campaigns each week
- Provide engagement metric reports to customers every month
- Review and refine Swipe internal SoPs to maximise efficiencies
The experience you’ll receive having exposure to a growing small business, along with visibility you’ll have as a on a global scale will add rockets to your capabilities and competencies. **Who we’re looking for**
We are looking for a smart, articulate and diligent technical sales specialist with a laser focus on detail to join the team, working alongside and reporting directly to Steve.
Ideally you will have a degree in pharmacy (although other life science degrees will be considered) in order to relate to our target customers (medical affairs professionals), as well as understand their medicines, and how to position our solution depending upon their specific educational needs.
You will possess robust organisational skills, and know your way around a spreadsheet as well as powerpoint. You understand data, impression and conversion rates, testing and reporting. A good head for numbers will give you a distinct advantage.
You are eager to learn and can take instruction and run with it, completing your tasks with enthusiasm and on time. We will provide all the on-the-job training you need to get up to speed quickly.
We will be a small but mighty team, few in number but with global impact who under promise and over deliver.
The opportunity for you to form relationships with pharmaceutical leaders across the world sets this role apart. Some of your clients will be senior leaders in global roles, so we’re looking for someone who has the confidence and gravitas to communicate intelligently and effectively at all levels.
Your written communication skills will also need to be top notch, and we will expect a high level of attention to detail, flawless project management, effective juggling of priorities

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
